We make products for ourselves and those like us
The first product we wanted to create for ourselves was our own coffee.
Our artisan-roasted coffees are as strong as a team of oxen, and just as smooth as fresh silk sheets. They’re born of rich Colombian soil, soaking tropical rains, and bright, golden sun.
The most exquisite Colombian Arabica cherries are responsibly sourced from ethical farms, where they are hand-picked at their absolute peak of ripeness. They’re then processed and fermented to heighten the fruits’ robust flavor, then dried in the tropical sun for several days until they reach an optimum 11% moisture content.
The processed green seeds we know as “coffee beans” are then sorted and shipped to our roasting house, where small batches are slowly and carefully roasted at 240º(f) to develop the breans’ rich color, bold flavor, and intoxicating aroma.
The finished beans are then cooled, blended, weighed, and packaged in vented air-lock bags for freshness, and shipped to our local purveyors. By the time you’re holding a bag of SaddleBred Provisions coffee, it has traveled tens of thousands of miles across the globe, to arrive in your hands at the precise moment you two meet. So go ahead and enjoy a cup of fine coffee grown, harvested, and expertly roasted just for you.
Our Story
Our founder, Marion, really loves animals. She has adopted a menagerie of retired and rescued animals, including race & police horses, a mini zebu named “Ralphie”, “Daisy” the head donkey, a family of alpacas, sheep, goats, turkeys, ducks, chickens, quail, rabbits, a tortoise named “Shelly”, dogs, cats, and more! Marion’s very first love was “Stanley”; a handsome Saddlebred fella born in 1988. He’s the “old man” around SaddleBred Ranch these days, and we sometimes refer to sweet ole Stanley as the “Chairman of the Barn”.
Marion and her animal friends want to thank you for supporting SaddleBred Provisions. A portion of proceeds from the sale of all products goes supports animal rescues and veterinarian causes.
ABOUT SADDLEBRED PROVISIONS
The story of SaddleBred Provisions started with the desire to roast amazing coffee. From there, we began to identify other tools, supplies, and basic resources that we’d like to make for ourselves.
This way, we can ensure that we always get a product we can depend on, whether it’s a fly spray that actually works on our horses, or a veterinary cream for sweet itch, or even just a hoof pick or brush for grooming our beloved friends.
We just want to make the kind and quality of products that we’d not only be proud to use, but that we’d be proud to put the SaddleBred Provisions name on.
